Piatra Craiului National Park Administration is a subunit of the National Forest Administration (N.F.A.). At the central level the park administration activities are coordinated by a Protected Area Service within the headquarters of the NFA, which is also coordinating the activities of another 23 national and natural parks in Romania.

As supervisor for the administration activities there is a Scientific Council, composed of representatives from the Romanian Academy, ministries and environmental agencies, NFA as well as scientific researchers.

The Scientific Council has half-early ordinary meetings and whenever necessary extraordinary meetings. The main stakeholders (institutions, agencies, organizations and persons affected by the park presences or who are developing activities within and nearby the park border) are represented in the Consultative Council. This Council has half-yearly meetings, with representing the interests of the above-mentioned bodies in the park management plan development and sustaining the park activities as main purposes.
