International conventions


Romania has joined several international agreements concerning the protection of environment and natural protected areas.

 

  • Law 5/1991 for the ratification of the Ramsar Convention on the Wetlands
  • Law 58/1994 for the ratification of the Rio de Janeiro Convention on Biological Diversity
  • Decision 187/1990 for the acceptance of  UNESCO World Heritage Convention from Nov. 16th  1972
  • Law 13/1993 for the ratification of the Convention of the Conservation of the European Wildlife and Natural Habitats (Bern Convention)
  • Law 69/1994 for the ratification of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (Washington, March 3rd 1973)
  • Law 13/1998 for the ratification of the Bonn Convention on Migratory Species
  • Law 89/2000 for the ratification of the Agreement on the Conservation on African-Eurasian Migratory Water Birds Species
  • Law 90/2000 for the ratification of the Agreement on the Conservation of Populations of European Bats.
