Management plan elaboration for the proposed site and integration within the general park management plan
Piatra Craiului National Park Management Plan and Park Regulations were approved on 2005 by the Ministerial Order 643. Since the entire park surface was declared as Natura 2000 site, all the management actions and regulations related with this were included in the general park management plan. Some of the actions had been updated and there had been introduces new ones also.
There were also introduced regulation within the forest management plans (the forest management plans for Zarnesti state forest district and for Papusa Rucar and Bucegi Piatra Craiului private forest districts were approved in 2004 and 2005). For the individual owners there were imposed restrictions related with the dimension and intensity of the logging activities within the buffer zone.

The park administration is now in position to enforce all the stipulation of the park regulation and management plan (the new environmental law, approved in December 2005 and the new protected areas law June 2006 are coming to strengthen this enforcement).
