Dear visitors, for your safety, it is important to know and respect a few elementary rules before visiting the national park:

  • Before the trip, better inform yourself about the protected area and check the tourist map of the Piatra Craiului National Park!
  • Choose the route that suits you the best and do not overestimate your strength!
  • If you have any doubts about the chosen route, request information from the Park Administration or the Mountain Rescue Service!
  • Do not drive your car, motorcycle and ATV in areas where the motorized access is prohibited!
  • Take the litter with you and throw it in special designated places!
  • During your trips follow the marked trails!
  • Admire the flowers and if you wish to pick them use only your photo camera!
  • Keep down the noise level so both humans and wildlife can enjoy the balance of nature!
  • Camp only in special designated locations!
  • To avoid attracting bears, leave the food outside the tent. Hang the food on tree branches, at a height of at least 2 meters, distanced from the trunk. Try to see the bear before it can see you, watch out for signs, footprints, droppings or feeding areas (turned rocks or logs, destroyed ant hills, digs).
  • Fire is allowed only in special designated areas!
  • Information boards, arrows, tourist marks or any other infrastructure are meant for your safety, don’t damage them!
  • Use the mountain shelters only in case of emergency and allow other visitors to do so as well!
